davit-base-floor-mount
Davit Base Floor Mount

It is a fixed floor-mounted unit intended to support vertical access and rescue equipment in enclosed work areas. The base is constructed from stainless steel to withstand harsh environments where moisture or chemicals may be present. Its design allows for stable installation on concrete or steel substrates commonly found in industrial settings. This ensures reliable performance during entry, work, and evacuation procedures.

The primary function of this base is to prevent falls from height when workers are accessing or exiting confined spaces such as tanks, silos, or vaults. It serves as a critical attachment point for davit arms, winches, or lifelines that form part of a fall arrest or retrieval system. By securing the system to the structure, it helps protect workers against sudden drops or loss of balance during vertical movement. Proper use reduces the risk of serious injury in high-hazard entry scenarios.

It is typically installed in facilities requiring regular access to confined spaces, including water treatment plants, chemical storage sites, and manufacturing units. The base is positioned at the entry point to allow safe and controlled descent or ascent of personnel and equipment. It is not worn by individuals but is a fixed component of the safety infrastructure. Correct installation and inspection are essential before each use to maintain system integrity.

Made from stainless steel for resistance to corrosion

Weight is 11.8 kilograms

Base dimensions are 300 millimetres in width, length and height

Constructed with a material thickness of 3 millimetres
