The unit moves freely along the rope in one direction but locks instantly if a sudden load is applied. It is commonly used by workers who need to ascend or descend ropes while maintaining constant fall protection. The design allows for hands-free operation during routine tasks at height. It relies on the rope's integrity and correct installation to function as intended. Proper training is required before use to ensure safety and effectiveness. It is not a substitute for a full harness system but works as part of one. Regular inspection for wear and damage is essential before each use. The device must be compatible with the specific rope construction and diameter specified. It should never be used with ropes outside the stated size range.

Moves freely up the rope and locks on sudden downward pull

Designed for use with 16mm diameter ropes only

Used in fall arrest systems for working at height

Requires correct fitting and user training before operation
