self-retracting-lifeline-with-wire-rope-1
Self Retracting Lifeline with Wire Rope

This device is a self retracting lifeline designed to manage a wire rope that extends and retracts automatically during use. It maintains constant tension on the lifeline to minimise slack and reduce trip hazards. The unit features a rugged outer shell built to withstand harsh conditions on site. It includes a swivelling karabiner with triple action locking for secure attachment to harnesses. A carry strap is integrated for easy transport between locations. The mechanism locks instantly upon detecting a fall to arrest descent and limit injury.

The primary function of this equipment is to protect users from serious injury or death resulting from falls while working at elevated positions. It achieves this by rapidly engaging an internal brake system when a sudden downward motion is detected. This action stops the fall within a short distance, reducing the forces exerted on the body. The lifeline remains under tension during normal movement, allowing freedom of work without snagging or dragging. It is suitable for use where fall hazards exist and reliable personal protection is required.

Common applications include construction sites, maintenance on structures, industrial facilities, and any location where personnel work above ground level. It is frequently used by riggers, steel erectors, roofers, and utility workers performing tasks at height. The device is designed to be worn on the back or side via a harness connection point. It allows vertical movement while continuously monitoring for a fall event. After a fall incident, the unit requires inspection and possible servicing before reuse.

Automatic extension and retraction of wire rope lifeline

Integrated fall arrest brake activates on sudden descent

Swivelling triple action karabiner included for secure connection

Outer casing constructed from high impact resistant polycarbonate

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0610/4806/2081/files/self-retracting-lifeline-with-wire-rope-srlc15-1.jpg?v=1790508411
