Description and applications
This lanyard is made from kernmantle rope which has a strong inner core and a tough outer sheath for durability. The design allows for length adjustment to suit different working positions. It includes drop forged hardware for secure attachment to harnesses and anchor points. The stitching is done with computer controlled bar tacking using UV resistant polyester thread.
An extended length energy absorber is built into the lanyard to reduce impact forces during a fall. It is designed to protect a person weighing up to 150kg including their tools and gear. The absorber activates smoothly to decelerate the fall over a longer distance. This helps minimise injury risk in the event of a slip or loss of balance.
The lanyard is intended for use in environments where fall protection is required such as building sites, maintenance work, or tower climbing.
