Intrinsically Safe Torch

This is a handheld lighting device designed for use in areas where flammable gases, vapours or dusts may be present. It uses LED technology to produce a focused beam suitable for distance viewing and task lighting. The unit operates on standard AA batteries and offers both momentary and constant-on modes via a single body switch. It is built to withstand tough conditions with resistance to water, dust, impacts and chemical exposure.

It protects against the risk of igniting explosive atmospheres by limiting electrical and thermal energy to safe levels. The design prevents sparks or heat from triggering combustion in Zone 0 environments, where ignitable concentrations are continuously present. This makes it suitable for use in oil and gas, chemical processing and mining operations where safety certification is mandatory. The light does not produce enough energy to cause ignition under normal or fault conditions.

It is used in confined spaces, offshore platforms, refineries, chemical plants and underground mines where explosive hazards exist. Workers carry or clip it to clothing or belts for hands-free operation during inspections, maintenance or emergency response. The removable lanyard and pocket clip allow secure attachment to gear. Its IP-67 rating ensures function after immersion or in dusty conditions, supporting reliable performance in harsh industrial settings.
