Single Leg Shock Absorbing Lanyard

This lanyard is designed for personal fall protection systems where a single attachment point is required. It features a shock absorbing pack that reduces impact forces during a fall event. The construction uses a durable kernmantle rope with a specified length of two metres. The design incorporates reinforced stitching using UV resistant polyester yarn for long term reliability.

The energy absorbing component limits the force transmitted to the user’s body during a fall, helping to prevent injury. It is rated to safely arrest a fall for a user weighing up to 150kg, including any tools or equipment carried. The absorber activates through controlled tearing of internal webbing to manage deceleration. This makes it suitable for use in environments where fall hazards are present.

It is commonly used in construction, maintenance, and industrial settings where workers operate at elevated levels. The hardware options allow connection to harnesses and anchor points such as scaffolds or steel structures. One end connects to the worker’s harness via a karabiner or similar device, while the other end attaches to a fixed anchor. The transition point on the lanyard can also be used to temporarily stow a spare leg if needed in twin leg configurations.
