Description and applications
This accessory is designed as a temporary anchor point for use on metal roofing surfaces. It features a camlock mechanism that allows for fast installation without the need for tools or permanent fixings. The unit can be secured and released quickly, making it suitable for short-term work at height. It is intended only for use by trained and competent personnel following relevant safety standards.
The device protects against falls from height by arresting a user's descent when connected to a compatible fall arrest system. It is not designed for restraint or positioning applications but specifically for fall arrest scenarios. Proper use requires connection to a full-body harness and energy-absorbing lanyard or lifeline. Users must verify the supporting structure can withstand the expected load before use.
It is applied along roof lines where permanent anchorage is unavailable or impractical to install. Common uses include maintenance, inspection, and repair work on metal clad industrial or commercial roofs. The anchor must only be used on metal roofing substrates as specified. Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified person in accordance with ASNZS 1891.4 guidelines.
- Minimum breaking strength of 15kN
- Camlock system enables tool-free installation
- Designed for temporary use only
- Compliant with ASNZS 1891.4 and ASNZS 5532:2013
