On active roadworks sites or during heavy haulage transport, clear communication between the driver and following traffic is essential for safety. This rear marker plate is a specific type of road signs designed for the back of wide or slow-moving vehicles to alert other motorists of a turning manoeuvre. It belongs on the left-hand side of the vehicle to provide an immediate visual warning to approaching traffic.
