The 5500 Series Clamshell Spray Kit is a reusable half-face respirator designed for comfort and ease of maintenance. It features a black body with a flexible sealing area that adapts to facial contours. All components are replaceable, allowing quick disassembly for cleaning. The design minimises re-breathing of exhaled air to improve wearer comfort during extended use.
It protects against organic vapours and fine particulates commonly encountered in spray applications. The A2 rated filters handle vapours from solvents and adhesives, while the P2 pre-filters capture dust and mist. It is not suitable for isocyanates or two-pack paint systems. The exhalation valve is positioned to release breath efficiently, reducing heat buildup.
This respirator is worn in workshops, manufacturing sites and maintenance areas where spray tasks are performed. The built-up chin support helps maintain a secure seal even when talking. The variable thickness in the nose bridge area ensures a snug fit without pressure points. Being latex free, it is safe for users with latex sensitivities.
