Having these spares on hand reduces the risk of system failure when you are far from a supply chain. The Activated Carbon Fibre filters work to strip out chlorine, organic chemicals, and unpleasant odours, which makes the water more palatable for the user. Meanwhile, the Ultra Filtration membrane acts as a critical barrier against microscopic contaminants. Because these filters can be swapped out in under a minute without the need for tools, site personnel or hikers can maintain their safety equipment without interrupting their workflow or journey.
