A double-throw latch system secures the lid with one hand while wearing gloves, and the automatic pressure equalisation valve balances internal pressure after altitude or temperature changes without letting moisture in. The stainless steel padlock hasps accept a standard shackle for overnight security on site, and the moulded handle stays comfortable during long carries across uneven ground.
