Description and applications
The Pelican 1660 is a watertight protector case built to move sensitive equipment through rough environments. Its polymer body resists impact, dust and water ingress, making it a standard choice for photographers, survey crews and defence personnel who need gear to arrive intact. The black finish reduces glare in bright conditions and keeps a low profile on site.
Inside, the supplied foam set can be plucked to fit camera bodies, lenses, drones, electronics or test instruments. The wheeled design with a retractable handle lets one person move a heavy load across car parks, tarmacs or uneven ground without strain. Double-throw latches stay shut under vibration but open easily with gloved hands, and the automatic pressure equalisation valve prevents vacuum lock after altitude or temperature changes. Stainless steel hardware resists corrosion in coastal or industrial atmospheres.
This pelican case carries an IP67 rating and a lifetime guarantee. It suits aerial survey, broadcast, mining inspection and emergency response kits where equipment protection is non-negotiable.
