Description and applications
The Rugged Xtremes PODConnect Medium Meter Pod is a black enclosure built to house electrical metering equipment on construction sites, commercial fit-outs and industrial switchrooms. Its medium footprint fits standard DIN-rail meters and associated terminals while the PODConnect interface allows the unit to lock into the broader PODConnect modular system, so power distribution and metering stay organised in a single lineup.
On site the pod mounts to a wall, pole or switchboard frame using the integral fixing points. The hinged lid gives clear access for meter reading and wiring checks without removing the whole cover, and the seal keeps dust and moisture off live parts during concrete pours or wash-downs. Electricians can pre-wire the meter and terminals in the workshop, then clip the pod into the PODConnect rail on installation day, cutting live termination time and reducing the chance of wiring errors. The black finish resists UV fading on exposed outdoor runs and matches common switchboard aesthetics.
The enclosure measures 180 mm wide by 80 mm deep by 240 mm high and weighs 800 g. New 2024 release.
