Description and applications
This lanyard is designed as a single leg fall arrest system using wire rope construction with integrated energy absorption. It features a snap hook at one end and a double action scaffold hook at the other for secure attachment. The assembly is built to Australian standards for personal fall protection equipment. The wire rope core provides strength while the outer casing resists abrasion and environmental wear.
It protects against fall arrest forces by limiting the impact on the user during a fall event. The extended length energy absorber activates to reduce peak forces transmitted to the harness and body. This helps prevent injury when working at height where a fall could occur. The system is rated to safely arrest falls for users up to 150kg including their tools and equipment.
Common applications include scaffolding erection, maintenance, inspection and other elevated tasks in construction and industrial settings. It is worn as part of a full fall arrest harness system connected to a suitable anchor point. The double action scaffold hook allows quick and secure connection to scaffold tubes or structural members. The snap hook enables easy attachment to the harness dorsal D-ring.
