Description and applications
The helmet is designed as protective headwear for high-risk industrial settings. It features a clear visor that can be fully retracted between the helmet shells when not in use. A six-point ratchet system ensures a secure and adjustable fit. The chinstrap keeps the helmet firmly in place during movement or impact.
It provides protection against mechanical impacts and electric arc flashes up to 4000 amps for 0.5 seconds, meeting GS-ET29 Class 1 and 2 standards. The helmet is certified to EN 397 for safety helmets and EN 50365 for electricians’ helmets, with VDE approval. Additional certification covers face shield performance for electrical work under GS-ET-29 BG Prufzert. These certifications confirm its suitability for live electrical environments.
The helmet incorporates a CRASH BOX that functions like a car’s crumple zone, absorbing impact energy through controlled deformation. By compressing and breaking apart, it reduces force transferred to the head. The suspension system then manages residual energy, enhancing overall protection. This design exceeds the impact absorption of single-wall helmets. The helmet has a three-year expiry from first use, with the harness lasting two years.
