Description and applications
Brady offers a compact solution for valve isolation designed to prevent accidental activation of machinery. This device is an essential component of a lockout tagout procedure, ensuring that energy sources are physically blocked and secured before any technician begins work on a system. By preventing the movement of a valve handle, the risk of hazardous leaks or unexpected pressure releases is significantly reduced.
To implement this safety measure, the user places the cap over the valve and threads the included cable through the mechanism. Once the cam door is shut, the cable is pulled tight and a padlock is attached to complete the isolation. It is important to note that once the cam door is closed, the cable can be tightened further but cannot be loosened without removing the lock.
This versatile tool is suitable for various industrial environments where ball, gate or pneumatic valves are present. It provides a streamlined way to manage multiple isolation points across a facility, ensuring that all fluid or gas lines are safely decommissioned during critical repair tasks.
- Designed for pneumatic, gate and ball valves
- Features a secure cam-door locking system
- Includes a tightening cable for a firm fit
- Available in red or clear options
