Description and applications
This Camelion head light pairs a 3W LED spot with a 10W dual colour COB strip that runs across the front of the band. The strip gives a wide, even flood for close work, the spot throws a beam of about 50m, and the black head band keeps both hands free for the task.
Six modes cover most jobs: COB white high at 320 lumens, COB white low at 160 lumens, LED white at 150 lumens, COB red, COB red strobe, and a white strobe that uses the COB and the LED together. A wave sensor turns the light on and off with a hand movement up to 10 cm in front of it, which is handy when gloves are dirty.
Power comes from a 3.7V 800mAh lithium polymer battery that recharges through the USB-C input in about 2.5 hours, and a charging cable is supplied. Camelion quotes run times of about 1.7 hours on COB white high, 2.1 hours on COB white low and 3.5 hours on LED white, so keep it charged between shifts.
