Description and applications
This sign is designed to clearly mark the location of emergency safety equipment in industrial and workplace settings. It features a high contrast green and white colour scheme for immediate visibility under various lighting conditions. The sign is made from durable Colorbond steel to withstand harsh environments and resist corrosion. Rounded corners and pre-drilled mounting holes in each corner allow for secure and safe installation. It is compatible with a range of standard shower and eyewash units from the same manufacturer family. The design ensures compliance with Australian safety signage standards for hazard identification.
The primary purpose of this sign is to protect personnel by enabling rapid location of emergency washing facilities during accidental chemical splashes or exposures. Quick access to showers and eyewash units can significantly reduce the severity of injuries from hazardous substances. The sign serves as a critical visual cue in emergency situations where every second counts. It supports workplace safety protocols by reinforcing the location of first response equipment. Clear signage helps prevent delays in treatment during high-stress incidents. This contributes to overall occupational health and safety compliance.
Ideal for use in laboratories, manufacturing plants, workshops, and any facility handling corrosive or irritant chemicals. The sign should be mounted near or directly on emergency shower and eyewash stations for maximum effectiveness. It can be affixed flush to walls, partitions, or stanchions using the corner mounting holes. Where practical, it may be attached directly to the equipment frame using optional mounting brackets. Placement should ensure unobstructed visibility from all approach paths. Regular inspection is recommended to ensure the sign remains legible and securely fixed.
