Description and applications
This compact bin suits places that only deal with a few needles or other sharps, such as small clinics, workplace first aid rooms, vehicles and home care settings. Its small footprint makes it easy to keep close to where sharps are used.
It is made in Australia from high-density polyethylene. The walls resist impact, crushing and needle penetration, and the resealable lid is fitted with finger guards to help prevent accidental injection. The nominal capacity, or safe usable space, is 1.5L, which takes up to 55 syringes of 1ml, 32 of 2ml, 16 of 5ml or 10 of 10ml.
A standard warning label is already fitted. The container is made to conform to AS4031:1996, with ISO 9001:2008 for the petal insert. In millimetres it is 235.9 high, 97 deep and 91 wide.
