Description and applications
The R2 4WD Outback kit does two jobs. It suits recreational four wheel drive trips, and it also works as a first aid kit for low and high risk worksites with 1 to 25 people. It is described as compliant for workplaces of that size and is listed with the TGA under registration 128314.
The contents include plasters, dressings, bandages, burn gel, eye wash, wound wipes, gloves, a resuscitation face shield, a digital thermometer, scissors and splinter tools. Two injury specific modules are added, one for eye injuries and one for outdoor hazards, for example snake and spider bites. All items are colour coded to speed up finding the right one.
It comes in a blue fabric soft pack with a tough water-resistant backing and fold out inner compartments. Light reflects off a strip on the outside when it is dim, and a wall mount bracket is included for hanging the kit at home, at the workshop or on the site.
