Description and applications
The R2 Remote Max kit is designed for work carried out in isolated areas, a long way from immediate medical help. It suits sites from low to high risk, is described as compliant for remote workplaces of 1 to 25 people, and is listed with the TGA under registration 128314.
Two extra modules sit alongside the usual dressings, bandages, plasters, wound wipes, eye wash, gloves, resuscitation face shield, scissors and splinter tools. One module handles burns, with burn gel and a burns sheet, and the other handles outdoor risks, with a colour guide to snake and spider bites. An LED torch and a whistle on a lanyard are also supplied, and the contents are colour coded.
The case is a red fabric soft pack with a tough water-resistant backing and fold out inner compartments. A reflective strip on the outside shows up in low light, and a wall mount bracket is included so the kit can hang in plain view at camp, depot or site office.
