Description and applications
The R4 Remote Area Medic kit is made for larger remote worksites such as mines and civil sites, and also suits low risk workplaces. It is sized for teams of 1 to 50 people, suits a first aid room, and is listed with the TGA under registration 128314.
It is stocked with a wide range of dressings, bandages, plasters, wound wipes, eye wash, an emergency splint, thermal blankets, resuscitation aids, scissors, shears, a thermometer, a torch and a whistle. It also holds supplementary modules for burns, eyes and outdoor work. The outdoor module has a full-colour guide to recognising and managing snake and spider bites, and the burns module has hydrogel gels, dressings and treatment guides. All items are colour coded by use so the right one is quicker to find.
The red soft pack is tough water-resistant backed fabric with internal compartments for organised storage. An adjustable shoulder strap suits grab-and-go use, and concealed backpack straps convert it into a backpack-style case. A reflective strip on the outside helps you spot the kit in dim light.
