Description and applications
The welding hood is constructed from lightweight Proban drill cotton, offering a balance of durability and comfort for extended wear. It provides full coverage of the head and shoulders, designed to guard against sparks, spatter and radiant heat encountered during common fabrication processes. The garment is stitched using heat resistant Aramid thread, ensuring seam integrity under thermal stress without adding unnecessary weight or bulk. It is intended for use in light to moderate welding applications where prolonged exposure to extreme heat is not expected. An elastic face closure allows for a secure, adjustable fit that maintains protection while enabling ease of movement and quick donning or removal. The design accommodates use with standard welding helmets and supports safe operation during cutting and grinding activities as well.
