Description and applications
These technical work pants are designed for demanding industrial environments where safety and durability are essential. Constructed from a specialised fabric blend, they offer inherent flame resistance without relying on chemical treatments. The material composition includes modacrylic, cotton, aramid and anti-static fibres for balanced performance. At 250 gsm, the fabric provides substantial protection while maintaining wearability during extended shifts.
The pants safeguard wearers from short duration thermal exposures caused by flash fires and electric arcs. They are certified to NFPA 2112 for flame resistance and meet ASTM F1959 standards for arc flash protection with an ATPV rating of 10 cal/cm². Additional safety features include compliance with AS/NZS 4602.1 for high visibility in low light conditions. The fabric also meets AS/NZS 1020 requirements for static electricity control.
Ideal for use in utilities, mining, oil and gas, and electrical maintenance sectors, these pants are built for regular wear in hazardous conditions. Design elements include multiple utility pockets, reinforced kneepad compartments and adjustable waistband elasticity for comfort. Reflective tape is positioned around the lower leg to enhance visibility during night or low light operations. Kneepads are available separately to ensure optimal fit and protection.
