Description and applications
The flat bar anchor is a temporary fall protection device designed for use on sheet metal roofs. It is intended for single use applications and must be installed according to manufacturer guidelines. The device connects to the roof structure using existing screw holes and fixings in the sheeting. It is not suitable for lifting operations or use in corrosive environments. This anchor safeguards workers engaged in roof access tasks such as maintenance, installation, or repair. It is designed to arrest a fall when used with an energy absorbing lanyard or similar fall arrest system. The anchor is fixed to the edge of trapezoidal or custom orb profile roofing sheets. Proper installation requires the roof sheets to be securely fastened with screws as specified. It should only be used on structures capable of supporting the applied load during a fall event. Users must consult the instruction manual before every use to ensure correct application. The product meets Australian and New Zealand standards for single point anchor devices used in harness-based work at height. It is not a permanent fixture and should be removed after use.
