About this course

Build the skills to move, stack and handle goods safely with a forklift truck.

What the course covers

  • Pre-start checks
  • Assessing loads and capacity
  • Maintaining stability
  • Lifting and stacking goods
  • Travelling safely and managing pedestrians
  • Parking and securing the forklift

Who it suits

Warehouse staff, manufacturing teams, freight and logistics workers, storepersons and distribution businesses.

Good to know

This is the forklift truck licensing unit. It does not cover every type of lifting equipment or order-picking forklifts. The regulator's licence application process applies after successful assessment.

How booking works

Pay for a place online, then our team calls you to arrange the date and venue and to confirm the details before the course: any pre-course learning, entry requirements such as identification and a USI, what to wear, and exactly what you receive after successful completion. Paying online does not set a date. Add one place for each participant.
