Description and applications
This device is a self retracting lifeline designed to arrest falls quickly and reliably. It features a compact housing that contains a spring-loaded mechanism to retract the lifeline when not in use. The unit includes a carabiner for anchor attachment and a swivel load indicator snap hook for connecting to the user’s harness. It is built for repeated use in demanding environments where fall hazards exist.
It protects against free fall injuries by limiting descent to less than two feet through an inertia-activated brake system. The lifeline is made from galvanized steel wire rope, which resists wear and corrosion during regular use. The swivel hook prevents twisting of the lifeline during movement, maintaining smooth operation. These features work together to reduce injury risk in the event of a slip or loss of balance.
Commonly used in construction, maintenance, and industrial settings, it is suitable for overhead or permanent installation. Workers wear it connected to a full-body harness while performing tasks at height such as roofing, steel erection, or equipment servicing. The narrow payout port helps keep dirt and debris out of the mechanism. It meets required safety standards for personal fall arrest systems in Australia and North America.
- Retracts automatically to reduce tripping hazards
- Limits fall distance to under two feet via inertia brake
- Swivel hook prevents lifeline twisting during use
- Corrosion resistant housing for extended service life
