Technicians who open their pelican case dozens of times a shift need gear visible and secured, not loose on the foam floor. The kit bolts into the 1490 shell and creates a structured mounting surface for panel-mount instruments, switch banks or custom-fabricated trays.

Installation uses the existing lid and base bosses so no drilling is required. Once fitted, the aluminium frame accepts standard panel hardware, letting an electrician mount circuit breakers, a telecom tech patch panels or a surveyor radio heads. The rigid frame distributes vibration loads across the case ribs instead of concentrating stress on a single moulded post. Panels can be swapped between jobs without tools, so the same 1490 rotates between calibration, commissioning and fault-finding roles. The anodised finish resists corrosion when the case lives on a ute tray or a damp site office floor.
