The Pelican 1500D desiccant is a moisture-absorbing canister built to sit inside a pelican case and protect sensitive payloads from condensation. It targets the humidity that builds up when sealed containers move between temperature zones, a common issue for field technicians, survey crews and defence personnel who rely on dry internals for calibration and readiness.

Each canister uses a silica-gel charge that pulls water vapour from the air volume inside the hard case without shedding dust or fibres onto lenses, circuit boards or precision mechanisms. The unit is non-rechargeable and designed for single-cycle use, so the operator simply drops it in, closes the lid and replaces the canister when the indicator window signals saturation. This routine removes the need for powered dehumidifiers or bulky silica bags that shift during transit, keeping the protective case interior stable during long haul flights, vehicle vibration or extended warehouse dwell time.
