The 1507 Air model answers that problem with a watertight, crushproof shell that weighs significantly less than traditional polymer cases, so crews can move gear between vehicles, workshops and remote locations without adding unnecessary load.

The case body uses proprietary HPX resin that cuts weight while keeping the structural rigidity Pelican is known for. Moulded-in wheels and a retractable handle let one person roll a fully loaded kit across concrete, gravel or airport terminals. Inside, the Pick N Pluck foam with convoluted lid foam lets you cut custom cavities for each camera body, lens, battery pack or controller, stopping gear from shifting during transport. An automatic pressure equalisation valve balances internal pressure after altitude or temperature changes, while the double-throw latches stay shut under vibration but open easily with gloved hands. Stainless steel padlock hasps accept standard locks for chain-of-custody security on shared sites.
