The Pelican 1600TP WL/TP insert is a black foam set cut to suit the 1600 protector case. It uses a pick-and-pluck design so you can remove cubes by hand and create cavities that match each item exactly. Photographers, survey crews and field technicians use it to stop gear shifting during transport on utes, in aircraft holds or across rough site roads.

Each layer is pre-scored in a grid pattern. You press out only the squares needed for a camera body, lens, radio or hand tool, leaving the surrounding foam intact to cushion every side. The convoluted lid foam holds the top surface of the load firm, while the base and middle layers carry the weight. Because the foam is open-cell polyurethane, it resists compression set and keeps its shape after repeated packing cycles. No cutting tools or adhesives are required, so the layout can be changed when the kit changes.
