Description and applications
These are the replacement blades for the A53 safety cutter with side slide in this range. Each blade is carbon steel in a trapezoid shape, 72mm by 17mm and 0.6mm thick.
Ten blades come in a safety dispenser, which keeps the spares covered and hands out one at a time. They are made in Taiwan.
The cutter is an everyday tool for opening cartons and cutting tape, film and strapping, and like any knife it is safest with a sharp edge: a dull blade needs more force and is more likely to slip. With a dispenser kept beside the cutters at a packing bench, a receiving dock or a store room, the blade is changed as soon as it starts to drag. Used blades go into a blade disposal container rather than a general bin.
