Description and applications
This Stratex spill response unit arrives in a sturdy 120-litre mobile container fitted with wheels for easy transport across any work area. Inside the bin you will find three 1.2-metre absorbent socks, twenty absorbent pads, one bag of granular absorbent, a pair of red PVC gloves, four contaminated waste bags, four cable ties, a plastic security tag and a set of spill response instructions. Every component is selected to work together so that a single operator can deploy the kit without delay.
The hydrophobic materials in this kit target hydrocarbons such as petrol, diesel, hydraulic fluid and lubricating oil while pushing water away. Socks form a barrier that stops liquid from reaching drains or spreading across floors, pads soak up pooled product quickly, and the granular media works on sealed concrete, asphalt, gravel or bare earth. Gloves protect the user during handling and the waste bags with ties allow safe removal of saturated items.
Place the bin near fuel bowsers, oil stores, hydraulic equipment or loading docks so it is ready when a leak occurs. Wheel the unit straight to the spill, deploy socks around the perimeter, cover the liquid with pads and finish with granular absorbent on any remaining residue. The kit suits workshops, transport depots, construction zones and industrial sites where hydrocarbon spills are a daily risk.
