This Stratex spill response kit is housed in a robust 240-litre wheeled bin for easy transport to incident sites. Inside you will find two 3-metre absorbent socks, four 1.2-metre socks, one hundred absorbent pads, four absorbent cushions, two bags of granular absorbent, a pair of red PVC gloves, six contaminated waste bags, six cable ties, a plastic security tag, a brush and shovel set, and spill response instructions. The combination of socks, pads, cushions and loose absorbent provides multiple options for containing and recovering liquid quickly.

The absorbents are formulated for general-purpose use, so they take up water-based fluids, oils, fuels, coolants, paints, solvents, degreasers and most non-hazardous chemicals. Socks can be placed around the perimeter of a spill or across doorway thresholds to protect drains, while pads and cushions soak up larger pools. Granular absorbent works on both sealed concrete and unsealed ground, and the brush and shovel set makes clean-up of the used granules straightforward.

Typical locations include factories, warehouses, workshops, manufacturing plants and industrial worksites where large-volume spills may occur.
