Description and applications
Stratex Liquasweep X900 is a natural sea sponge granular absorbent supplied in a seven litre container. The material remains dry and free flowing even after it has reached full saturation, which makes clean up simple and reduces secondary mess. Because the granules do not leach captured liquids, the spent product can be sent to approved landfill sites in line with local council rules. This characteristic separates it from many clay or cellulose alternatives that release fluid under pressure.
The absorbent tackles a broad range of hazardous spills including oils, fuels, solvents, paints, acids and alkalis. Its high capacity means a small volume manages a large liquid release, so responders can contain the hazard quickly. The formulation works on both water based and hydrocarbon liquids without the need for separate products, which simplifies spill kit stocking. It is rated for chemical and hydrocarbon incidents alike.
Typical deployment areas include road transport accident scenes, warehouse aisles, loading docks and maintenance bays. Operators broadcast the granules over the spill, allow a short contact time, then sweep the saturated material for disposal. The product is also suited for permanent spill stations where rapid access is required. Its lightweight nature reduces manual handling strain during emergency response.
