Description and applications
This product is a length of high tenacity polyester webbing designed for personal fall arrest systems. It is manufactured to meet the requirements of AS/NZS5532:2013 and is intended for use by a single person including their tools. The sling provides a reliable connection point between the user and an anchorage device when working at height. It is constructed to be lightweight while maintaining strength and flexibility for various tasks. The material resists abrasion and UV degradation under normal conditions, supporting a service life of up to ten years from manufacture. Proper use requires adherence to the manufacturer’s instructions and compatibility with shock absorbing lanyards or inertia reels. It is not a standalone safety device and must be part of a complete fall arrest system. The sling is suitable for environments where fall hazards exist and anchorage points are assessed by a competent person. It is commonly selected for tasks involving elevated work platforms, roofs, or scaffolding where mobility and reliability are essential. Users must inspect the sling before each use and remove it from service if any damage, wear, or contamination is observed. Storage should be in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and chemicals when not in use. The sling does not include connectors or lanyards and must be paired with compatible components to function as intended.
