Indalex 5.5m Fibreglass Extension Ladder

A 5.5 metre fibreglass extension ladder built for electrical maintenance where live conductors are present. The non-conductive stiles and rungs isolate the climber from earth paths, making it the standard choice for sparkies, lines crews and maintenance teams working on switchboards, overhead services or solar arrays. Its extended reach covers service entries and pole-top hardware without needing a second ladder on site. The extension action runs on rope and pulley so one person can raise and lower the fly section cleanly, even when the ladder is bedded against a fascia or cable tray. Rung spacing matches a natural climbing stride, reducing fatigue on long jobs, while the D-shaped rungs give a flat foot surface that feels secure in boots or insulated overshoes. Rubber feet grip concrete, bitumen and timber without marking finished floors, and the fly locks engage with a positive click that you can feel through gloves. Because the material does not conduct, there is no need to run a separate insulating mat or stand-off when the job calls for close approach to energised parts. Fibreglass construction, 5.5 metre extended length, rope-operated fly section, D-profile rungs, non-conductive side rails, rubber base feet.
