Description and applications
This product is a spill containment boom designed for absorbing a wide range of non-aggressive liquids. It is colour coded grey to indicate its general purpose use across various fluid types. The boom is constructed to provide reliable sorption without reacting with most common substances. It is sold as a single unit and comes in cartons of twelve for bulk handling.
It protects against spills of oils, coolants, solvents and other non-corrosive liquids commonly found in workshops and factories. The boom is not suitable for use with strong acids or alkalis which could degrade its structure. Its sorption capacity ranges from 1.6 to 2.8 litres per metre of length. This makes it effective for managing moderate volume spills before they spread.
Typical applications include manufacturing floors, maintenance bays, transport depots and storage areas where liquid handling occurs. It is also used in non-industrial environments such as schools, offices and public facilities for routine spill readiness. The boom can be placed around machinery, under leak points or along drainage paths to contain runoff. Its lightweight design allows for quick deployment and easy disposal after use.
