Description and applications
This lockout device is engineered to secure ball valve handles in the closed position so that energy cannot be restored while work is in progress. Constructed from ultra-tough polypropylene, the unit withstands a broad service temperature range from minus 196 degrees Celsius up to 70 degrees Celsius and resists exposure to harsh chemicals. Because the material is completely dielectric, there is no path for conductive energy to travel through the device, adding an extra layer of safety when isolating services. Two size ranges cover a wide spread of pipe diameters; the small version suits pipes from 13 millimetres to 64 millimetres, while the large version fits pipes from 51 millimetres to 203 millimetres. Each variant is supplied as a single piece in a choice of high-visibility colours for quick identification on site.
