Corrosive Substance Storage Cabinet

This storage unit is built for the secure containment of corrosive materials in liquid or solid form, meeting Australian safety standards for hazardous goods. It features a double-walled construction using galvanised steel to provide durability and resistance to chemical exposure. The design includes overlapping door edges to minimise heat transfer and maintain internal stability during use. Internal components are treated with additional protective coating to extend service life in harsh conditions.

The cabinet protects against leaks, spills and vapour release from stored corrosive chemicals like sodium hydroxide, hypochlorite solutions and various acids and alkalis. It incorporates a liquid-tight sump at the base to capture any accidental discharges, preventing contamination of surrounding areas. Ventilation points are fitted with flash arresters to allow safe pressure equalisation while blocking flame propagation. All shelving includes spill trays to contain minor leaks at the source.

It is intended for indoor use in factories, workshops, laboratories and storage facilities where corrosive substances are handled or kept. The unit is delivered palletised and packed in robust cardboard to prevent damage during transit and storage. Safety decals, including corrosive diamond labels, are applied to the exterior for clear hazard identification. Optional extra shelves can be added to adjust internal configuration as needed.
