Crescent Lufkin 2-in-1 Extendable Speed Square LSS300X6

This Crescent Lufkin layout tool is a speed square with a 150 mm arm that folds out of the body. Closed, it works as a normal 180 mm square; opened, it reaches 300 mm, so you can carry one tool instead of two squares on the belt.

A thumb lock releases the arm and clicks it back into place when you are done, so the extension does not flop about in the pouch. The body is solid aluminium with a corrosion resistant black finish and white laser etched markings, which keeps glare down in full sun and stays readable in a dim roof space or stairwell.

Use it for marking square and angled cuts on studs, joists, rafters and sheet material, for guiding a saw, and for laying out wider boards that a standard speed square cannot span.
