Description and applications
The Detroit Zip Safety Boot is a protective work shoe designed for demanding conditions. It features a full-grain leather upper treated to resist water penetration. The interior includes a breathable lining made from a blend of bamboo, cotton and polyester fibres. A soft polyurethane footbed with anti-static properties enhances comfort during extended wear.
Impact protection is provided by a lightweight composite toe cap made from fibreglass. This cap meets safety standards for resisting forces up to 200 joules. The outsole combines polyurethane and thermoplastic polyurethane for durability and flexibility. It resists abrasion, oil, organic fats and acids while maintaining slip resistance.
Additional safety and comfort elements include a Poron heel insert for cushioning. A TPU scuff cap reinforces the toe area against wear. The coil zipper system allows quick and secure fastening with a button lock. A padded bellows tongue helps prevent debris entry and improves fit.
