Description and applications
This lanyard is constructed from high tenacity webbing with a double leg design to provide secure attachment points during work at height. It includes an integrated energy absorber that activates during a fall to reduce impact forces on the user. The hardware consists of a snap hook and a scaffold hook, both made from drop forged steel alloy for durability. The unique stitching pattern ensures the load is evenly distributed across the webbing to maintain consistent strength throughout the assembly.
The energy absorbing component is engineered to limit arrest forces to safe levels for users weighing up to 150kg, including their tools and equipment. It activates only when a fall occurs, deploying controlled elongation to absorb kinetic energy. This prevents sudden jolts that could cause injury or harness failure. The absorber is designed to match the strength of the webbing so no single point becomes a weak link under load.
It is intended for use in construction, maintenance, and industrial environments where fall protection is required. Workers wear it connected to a certified anchor point via the scaffold hook, while the snap hook attaches to the harness dorsal D-ring. The extended length allows for greater mobility without compromising safety. The product meets the technical requirements of AS/NZS 1891.5 for fall arrest systems.
- Double leg design with shock absorber for fall arrest
- Snap hook and scaffold hook made from drop forged steel
- Webbing strength matched to stitching for uniform load capacity
- Certified to AS/NZS 1891.5 for use in fall protection systems
