Description and applications
The 5L sharps container is for clinics, workplaces, first aid rooms, labs and anywhere needles and other sharps need to be disposed of safely. It is made in Australia from high-density polyethylene, in a compact size that suits a bench, trolley or bracket.
The container resists impact, crushing and needle penetration, and the injection moulded lid reseals. Petal insert finger guards sit inside the opening to protect users from accidental injury from a needle. The lid opening is 86mm, which suits high volume disposal, and the nominal capacity, or usable space, is 4.6L.
A standard warning label comes on the container. It is made to conform to AS4031:1996, and the petal insert to ISO 9001:2008. The body is 275 high, 136 deep and 231 wide in millimetres. A matching Fast Aid wall bracket is available for mounting.
