Description and applications
Cleaning the skin around a wound before it is dressed helps reduce the chance of infection. These povidone iodine wipes suit workplaces, schools, clubs, vehicles and home first aid kits, and work as a top-up for a kit that has used its wipes.
Each swab contains 10% povidone iodine in a non-sting formula that does not contain alcohol. The wipe is designed to disinfect the skin in and around the wound, which helps guard against bacterial infection, and it cleanses the area so the wound is ready for a dressing. The swabs are easy to access, so they can be opened and used quickly.
A pack holds 10 swabs. They are supplied in Fast Aid's colour coded retail box, which has an easy-to-open perforated front, and the pack can also be used as a refill for Fast Aid Easy-Refill first aid kits.
