Description and applications
The Curva-Splint is a versatile immobilisation tool for emergency responders, outdoor use and workplace kits. It can be shaped to support fractures, sprains and soft tissue injuries, and it rolls up so it is easy to carry.
A lightweight, malleable aluminium alloy core sits inside two layers of tough closed-cell foam, so it moulds to the injured limb and stays comfortable against the skin. The splint is radiolucent, so it does not need to come off when the patient is X-rayed and it will not interfere with the images.
Standard first aid shears will cut it to size for different body parts. It can be used more than once before it is thrown away, making it a space-saving addition to a kit. The splint measures 11 x 90cm when unrolled.
