Description and applications
This device is a self retracting lifeline designed to arrest falls by automatically locking when a sudden force is detected. It features a sealed internal mechanism that eliminates the need for disassembly during routine maintenance, requiring only daily visual checks by a qualified inspector. The unit includes a swivel attachment at the anchor end with a built-in fall indicator to show if the device has been activated. Constructed with high strength polyester webbing and a lightweight protective outer casing, it balances durability with ease of use. It incorporates two 16kN capacity Twist Lok karabiners that are ANSI certified for reliable connection to harnesses and anchor points. An integrated energy absorber reduces the impact force transmitted to the user during a fall event, enhancing safety. The product has a minimum breaking strength of 15kN and is certified to EN 360:2002 standards for fall arrest equipment. It is rated for a maximum user weight of 100kg and has a defined service life of five years with a ten year shelf life from manufacture. Common applications include stock picking operations and cherry picker use where anchor points are near exposed edges or where minimizing fall distance is critical.
