Description and applications
This is a pair of knee pad inserts for work trousers and coveralls that have knee pad pockets. Each pad is a moulded piece of EVA foam, shaped to sit around the knee rather than lie flat against it, so it stays where it should when the wearer kneels and gets up again. The pads are black and come in one size.
Each pad measures 21.5 cm by 16.5 cm and is 1.5 cm thick. They are made for the knee pad pockets of the same maker's garments, including the flame resistant coverall in this range, and they do not get in the way when walking, so they can stay in the pockets for the whole shift.
The pads are certified to EN 14404: 2004 + A1: 2010 as Type 2, Level 0. Type 2 is the kind that is worn inside a pocket on the trouser leg. Level 0 is the entry level of that standard and is meant for kneeling on flat floors, which suits floor layers, tilers, electricians, plumbers and warehouse staff on finished or level surfaces. They are supplied as a pair in a retail bag.
