This storage unit is designed specifically for the safe containment of miscellaneous dangerous goods classified under Class 9. It features a robust double-walled construction using galvanised steel to provide structural integrity and resistance to impact. The cabinet includes three adjustable shelves mounted on a perforated steel framework, allowing flexible configuration for various item sizes. Access is provided via two self-closing doors equipped with hydraulic dampers to ensure controlled and quiet shutdown. Safety is enhanced through a three-point latching system and a recessed handle with a keyed lock mechanism, preventing unauthorised access. The unit incorporates overlapping door edges to minimise heat transfer and maintain internal stability during use. Ventilation is managed through two 50mm bungs fitted with steel flash arresters, allowing controlled airflow while preventing flame propagation. An external earth connection point and included earthing wire support static dissipation, reducing ignition risks in sensitive environments. The interior includes a 150mm deep liquid-tight sump to contain spills or leaks from stored materials. The exterior is finished with a solvent-resistant yellow powder coating, providing durability and visibility in workplace settings. Decals indicating Class 9 hazards are applied externally for clear identification. Optional extra shelves can be added to increase storage capacity as needed.
