On a busy workshop bench or in the back of a service ute, equipment takes a beating every time the vehicle moves. The Pelican 1560 convoluted foam insert sits inside the protective case and cushions each item against vibration and sudden impact. Technicians working across mining, defence and broadcast sectors rely on this layout to keep calibrated instruments and delicate electronics secure from the depot to the remote site.
The egg-crate profile creates individual cradles that hold irregular shapes without the need for custom cutting. A technician can lift the top layer, nestle a handheld analyser or radio into the base, then replace the lid foam for full coverage. This modular approach speeds up pack-out at shift change and reduces the chance of leaving a critical component behind. The open-cell structure also allows air to circulate, helping prevent condensation on sensitive optics during temperature swings.
